February is Heart Health Awareness Month, and for our family, this mission is deeply personal. Our firstborn son was diagnosed in utero with a congenital heart defect. After a courageous fight, he passed away at just 18 days old. Since then, we honor his memory by spreading awareness about CHD—the #1 birth defect in newborns.
Awareness matters. It leads to understanding, compassion, and increased funding for life-saving research. While there is still no definitive cure for CHDs, advancements in medical care have come a long way—even since our son’s passing in 2013. Each shirt worn helps spark conversation and brings visibility to a cause that affects so many families.
